Exchange registration and transaction fees

Suppliers and offtakers: US$500 registration fee, non-refundable. This is the fee to enter the Exchange system for trade and transaction registration.

Brokerage and exchange fees: 3%–9%, depending on the commodity. The average planning rate is 5%, with gold at the lowest rate of 3%. Commercial emerald and gemstone transactions must exceed 5,000 carats. Diamonds and precious gems are quoted by commodity and volume within the 3%–9% range; the commercial gemstone threshold is measured in carats. Rates of 3%–7% apply where specified for the relevant commodity. The exact percentage, calculation basis and payment milestone are confirmed in the quote or transaction agreement. Transaction fees are separate from the registration fee.

Consultation and EPCM project services: US$10,000 where applicable beyond trade and transaction registration, under the separate project engagement agreement.

Five-year mineral offtake discount

Qualifying term buyers under five-year supply contracts or offtake agreements may receive an industry discount of 15%–18%, capped at 18%, for eligible mineral ores, including lead ore, zinc ore, tin ore and bauxite. The agreed discount and pricing benchmark are specified in the commodity contract.

The mineral price discount is separate from registration, brokerage and exchange fees. It does not replace or reduce the non-refundable US$500 registration fee or the separately agreed transaction fee. The fee calculation basis is stated in the transaction agreement.

Brokerage commissions may be payable by the buyer/offtaker, the seller, or both parties in agreed shares. Buyer/offtaker and seller acknowledge the agreed commission obligations; the definitive transaction agreement identifies the responsible party or parties, allocation, fee calculation basis and payment milestone. The stated commission is not automatically charged in full to each party.

Pay with Universal Access Card tokens

Suppliers, applicants and clients may request token payment for an approved commercial invoice, service or listing. U-Access CRM manages the cardholder account, approval and merchant transaction. Include the company, region and exact application, supplier or listing reference.

Present your active card for the 10% network merchant discount on purchase value. Tokens are CAD 0.50 each; applicable taxes are paid separately. A card transaction adds three fee tokens (CAD 1.50). African Airways accepts U-Access tokens for 100% of eligible pre-tax reservations, services, payments and goods. Payment does not approve an application or confirm a booking.

Regional & international token and cash payments

Use your approved commercial invoice to pay with verified tokens, cash or a token-and-cash split. Include the company, region and application or service reference. Ghana (GHS) and Nigeria (NGN) local payments require a verified cash, bank-transfer or mobile-money receipt; non-CAD tokens require an approved conversion. CAD, USD, GBP and EUR card checkout remains subject to availability. Taxes are payable without tokens.
